warm december

12/16/24

Hitting 78 degrees fahrenheit in the middle of December feels miserable. The muggy inescapable humidity chokes the morning air, but at least there's not many mosquitoes paired with it. Lately, I've been a bit dissatisfied with my art. Maybe I'm finally feeling like a "real" artist lol. I seek something new, something more, but I don't know what. Behind the scenes of my renders, there's stuff I look into and learn, but it doesn't really have much of an effect to an outside viewer. And although these are primarily for me, rather than you, when I myself start to ask if it's worth it, what can I say? At least I'll have some time off work and school to think about it.

Two weeks of free time. Amtraks pass in the middle of the week, generally return on the weekend. Would be kinda nice to just hop on one. Still got a voucher from my constantly stalled trip to California last year. Going up north would be nice I think, see more of the heartland. Only downside is that it'd pull me away from my intended work. Was planning on finally getting down a proper small animation but I dunno. My back hurts. Need to start doing more stretches. Need to hit the gym consistently in general again too. So much to do. Still need to buy some Christmas presents too. Send some letters out. A friend has been radio silent for weeks now, but there's no other way for me to easily reach him. A bit worried but I don't know what else to do.
